This Privacy Policy explains how the Association of Nigerian Private Medical Practitioners ("ANPMP", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data and device information obtained through the ANPMP 2027 Mobile Scanner Application (Package ID: com.ptc.anpmp2027) and the official conference web dashboard located at anpmpedo.org.

By installing the mobile app or registering via the conference portal, you agree to the collection and processing of information in accordance with this policy and Google Play Developer Data Policies.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the essential data required to facilitate medical conference registration, badge printing, attendance validation, and benefit redemptions:

A. Delegate & Staff Account Data

  • Full Name, Title, and Medical Specialization
  • Email Address, Phone Number, and State/Branch
  • Conference Badge ID & QR Code Tokens
  • Encrypted Staff Credentials (for desk personnel)

B. App & Device Telemetry

  • Scan Timestamps & Lecture Attendance Logs
  • Meal Voucher Redemption Verification Logs
  • Offline Sync Queue (Encrypted on Device Storage)
  • Operating System & App Version (via Google Play Services)

3. Mobile Device Permissions

To perform its core functions, the ANPMP 2027 Mobile App requests the following runtime Android permissions:

  • Camera Access (android.permission.CAMERA): Required exclusively for scanning delegate badge QR codes via Google ML Kit Barcode Vision. No photographs, videos, or personal image files are ever captured, saved, or uploaded to any server.
  • Google Play In-App Update API: Used to check for non-disruptive background performance updates directly through the Google Play Store.

4. How We Use Information

Information collected is strictly processed for legitimate conference administrative purposes:

  • Verifying delegate badges and granting venue access to scientific sessions.
  • Compiling attendance records for Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit accreditation.
  • Validating meal vouchers and preventing duplicate redemptions.
  • Maintaining system telemetry, server uptime, and edge node synchronization.

5. Data Protection, Security & Retention

We implement robust security controls to safeguard delegate and staff records:

  • Encryption in Transit: All network communications use standard TLS 1.3 / HTTPS 256-bit encryption.
  • Encryption at Rest: Local offline scan logs stored on mobile devices are protected using Android EncryptedSharedPreferences (AES-256 GCM).
  • No Data Commercialization: We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or share personal data or scan logs with third-party advertisers or commercial entities.

6. User Rights & Data Deletion Requests

Delegates and staff have full rights to access, inspect, or request deletion of their personal information. If you wish to delete your account or stored attendance records, please contact our Data Governance Officer at:

7. Updates to This Policy
